Train the Trainer Course — From Subject Matter Expert to Skilled, Confident Trainer
Most people who find themselves in a training role were never taught how to train. They were chosen because they know their subject — the most experienced person in the room, the technical expert, the team lead who has done it all. That expertise is genuinely valuable. But the ability to do something well and the ability to teach others to do it well are fundamentally different skills — and without both, even the best subject knowledge gets lost in a poorly structured, passively delivered session that fails to stick.
This practical full-day programme gives new trainers, subject matter experts and managers who deliver internal training the design frameworks, presentation skills and facilitation techniques to structure, deliver and evaluate sessions that genuinely transfer knowledge and engage every type of learner — with real training scenarios and structured feedback throughout.

Half-Day Workshop vs Full-Day Programme
Both formats develop genuine training capability. The right choice depends on the depth of development your trainers need and how much time they can commit right now.
| Half-Day Workshop | Full-Day Programme | |
|---|---|---|
| Positioning | Fast-track training skills — structure, delivery and confidence essentials | Full trainer development — all modules, live practice, feedback and complete personal trainer toolkit |
| Duration | 3–3.5 hours | 6–7 hours |
| Best For | New trainers or managers needing fast-track delivery skills with minimum time away | Organisations investing in comprehensive trainer development across their internal L&D capability |
| Content | Adult learning, session structure, Bloom's Taxonomy and core presentation skills | Full programme — all modules, facilitation, materials design, evaluation and personal trainer toolkit |
| Practice | 1–2 focused delivery exercises with peer feedback | Multiple live training practice sessions with structured individual feedback throughout |
| Investment | Lower — ideal for larger cohorts or rapid capability deployment | Premium — stronger ROI through comprehensive trainer development and improved training quality across the organisation |

What Delegates and Organisations Gain From This Programme
A structured session planning framework — writing SMART learning objectives using Bloom's Taxonomy and building sessions that flow logically and achieve measurable outcomes
A working knowledge of adult learning principles (andragogy) and learning preferences — designing sessions that engage and accommodate every type of learner in the room
Significantly greater presentation confidence — voice projection, tone, pacing, eye contact and body language skills that build credibility and hold the room
Practical facilitation and delivery techniques — interactive activities, group discussions, storytelling and energy management that keep delegates actively engaged throughout
Skills for handling questions, managing difficult participants and responding to the unexpected without losing composure or credibility
A complete session plan and personal trainer toolkit — ready to use in the very next session they design or deliver
Full-Day Train the Trainer Course Programme
Delegates establish the distinction between presenting, training and facilitating — and understand what separates effective training from information delivery. They apply adult learning principles (andragogy) and learning preferences to training design, then build a structured session plan with SMART learning objectives using Bloom's Taxonomy — sequencing content logically, pacing appropriately and planning for active delegate involvement throughout.
Delegates develop confidence and practical presentation skills — voice projection, tone, pacing, eye contact and body language — then practise a range of facilitation and delivery techniques including interactive activities, group discussions, storytelling and energy management. They design effective training materials — slides, handouts and visual aids that support rather than replace learning — and practise handling questions, managing difficult participants and adapting delivery in response to the room.
Delegates deliver a short training practice session with structured peer and facilitator feedback, learn to gather meaningful delegate feedback and conduct honest self-reflection, and leave with a complete personal trainer toolkit — including a session plan template, pre-training checklist and specific improvement commitments to apply in their very next training session.
