A 16-year executive coaching and development partnership with a chief executive across three charity organisations — two national brands and one regional charity — built entirely on trust, performance and results that speak for themselves.
This partnership began with an executive coaching relationship with a Chief Executive working in the charity sector. Over time, that coaching relationship deepened — and when the results became clear, the Chief Executive commissioned Elevate Impact Training to deliver performance management and performance coaching across her organisation.
As she moved between leadership roles across different charity organisations over 16 years, she chose to bring the partnership with her each time — commissioning our team in every organisation she led. That is perhaps the most compelling measure of impact any development partner can achieve: being trusted enough to follow a leader across three separate organisations, over more than a decade and a half.
Sector: Charity / Not-for-Profit / Voluntary
Relationship length: 16 years
Organisations: 3
Managers developed: 43
Scope: Executive coaching to management team development
Sectors: National and regional charity
The partnership spanned three distinct charity organisations — each with a different scale, structure and focus. In every case, the approach was the same: understand the organisation, understand the people, and design development that is genuinely relevant to the reality of working in that environment.
A national brand charity with a head office team of 25 staff. Full performance management and performance coaching programme delivered across the head office function — excluding volunteers, focused entirely on the employed team.
A second national brand charity where training was commissioned for the Northwest region specifically — 12 managers across the regional structure receiving performance management and performance coaching development.
A well-established regional charity with 6 managers — a smaller cohort but the same depth of commitment. Performance management and coaching training designed around the specific culture and operational context of a regional not-for-profit organisation.
The foundation of this partnership was an ongoing executive coaching relationship with the Chief Executive — providing the strategic thinking space, challenge and support needed to lead complex charity organisations through change, growth and the pressures of the not-for-profit sector.
A sustained one-to-one coaching relationship with the Chief Executive — providing strategic challenge, personal development support and the thinking space needed to lead at the highest level in the charity sector.
Structured performance management programmes delivered to management teams across all three organisations — building the confidence and capability to manage performance consistently, constructively and in line with the values of a not-for-profit environment.
Practical performance coaching skills developed for managers at every level — equipping them to have meaningful development conversations, build employee accountability and support their teams through challenge and change.
Management and leadership development tailored to the specific context of charity and not-for-profit leadership — recognising that leading in this sector requires a distinct combination of commercial capability and values-driven purpose.
The most significant outcome of this partnership is the partnership itself. When a Chief Executive chooses to commission the same development partner in every organisation she leads — across 16 years and three very different charities — that is a statement about results, not loyalty.
When you find a development partner who genuinely understands your organisation and delivers results at every level, you do not look elsewhere. We commissioned this work across every organisation I have led because the impact is always real and lasting.
